My father - Decided to leave us

"First i lost hearing, then eyes....now only my soul is there..".

This is the last words he uttered when I spoke to him for the last time...

Still it is booming in my ears..

He breathed his last today (2nd Jan 2012 at 17.35 Hours)

He was instrumental in helping us to reach the safe shore to live a better life.   All the four children of him owe a big gratitude to our father known for patience, grit, and determination.  

I have read somewhere..it is difficult to play in our own funeral...but his guidance, his living style all made us more strong, and act more mature

He lived up to his life, he was happy to see his dreams are full filled in our eyes..


As aptly my cousin brother Jnaanesha's condolence SMS to us "Nobody can fill the vaccum created by him.  He will be missed by all of us. For all practical purpose, he was the eldest in our family.  He will always be remembered for his simple life style n descipline.  It was a hell to be in hospital with all struggle n pains.  All of us should take this in our stride and help doddamma overcome the grief.  he has been a fantastic father n wonderful loving grand father to all kids.  May his soul rest in peace..."


Tears started trickling down...am stopping it here...

Anna, you are our spirit, energy, enthusiasm...you are with us..and you will be with us all the time...

ನಮ್ಮ ಅಪ್ಪನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಏನೇ ಬರೆದರೂ ಅದು ಕಮ್ಮಿ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ನನ್ನ ಭಾವನೆ..

"ಮೊದಲು ಕಿವಿ ಹೋಯ್ತು....ಆಮೇಲೆ ಕಣ್ಣು ಹೋಯ್ತು..ಪ್ರಾಣ ಒಂದು ಉಳಿದಿದೆ"

ನನಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಅಪ್ಪ ಹೇಳಿದ ಕಡೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ಮಾತುಗಳು...ಇನ್ನೂ ಕಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಯ್ಯ್ಗಗುಟ್ಟುತ್ತ ಇದೆ...


ತಮ್ಮ ಇಡಿ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಛಲ ಹಾಗು ಆತ್ಮ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸದಿಂದ ಬೆಳೆದು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹಾಗೆ ಬೆಳಸಿದ ನಮ್ಮ ಅಪ್ಪ ಇಂದು ಸಂಜೆ ಸುಮಾರು ೫.೩೫ಕ್ಕೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹರಸಿ ಹೊರಟರು ...ಕಾಲನ ಕರೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಯಾರು ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎನ್ನುವ ಸತ್ಯ ನಮಗೆ ಅರಿವಾದ ಆ ಕ್ಷಣ ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಯಾತನಮಯ .


ಬೇರೆಯವರ ಹುಟ್ಟು- ಸಾವಿನ  ಬಗ್ಗೆ  ಬರೆಯೋದು  ತುಂಬಾ  ಸುಲಭ..ತಮ್ಮ ಬಂಧು-ಮಿತ್ರರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಬರೆಯುವುದು ಕಷ್ಟ ಅಂತ ಪ್ರತೀತಿ..ಆದ್ರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಅಪ್ಪ ನಮ್ಮ ಒಳಗೆ ಇದ್ದು ನನಗೆ ಬರೆಯೋದಕ್ಕೆ ಚೈತನ್ಯ ತುಂಬಿದ್ದರೆ ಅಂತ ನನ್ನ ಬಲವಾದ ನಂಬಿಕೆ...


ಜೀವನದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲೂ  ತಾಳ್ಮೆ, ಮೃದು ಮನಸಿಗೆ ಹೆಸರಾಗಿದ್ದ ನಮ್ಮ ಅಪ್ಪ..ಅವರ ಅಂತಿಮ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ಯಾತನಮಯವಾಗಿದ್ದು ವಿಧಿ ವಿಪರ್ಯಾಸ.  ಪ್ರಾಯಶಃ ಆ ತಾಳ್ಮೆಯೇ ನಮ್ಮ ಮನಸನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿತದಲ್ಲಿರಿಸಿದೆ ಅಂದರೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಲ್ಲ..


ಸುಮಾರು ಎಪ್ಪತೊಂಬತ್ತು ಹುಟ್ಟು ಹಬ್ಬಗಳನ್ನ ಆಚರಿಸಿದ ಹಿರಿಯ ಜೀವ..ತನ್ನ ಎಂಬತ್ತನೇ ವರುಷಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಲು ಇರಿಸಿದ ಸುಮಾರು ಮೂರು  ತಿಂಗಳ ತರುವಾಯ ತನ್ನ ನೆನಪನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ನೀಡಿ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ...

ನಮ್ಮ ಅಪ್ಪನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಏನೇ ಬರೆದರೂ ಅದು ಕಮ್ಮಿ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ನನ್ನ ಭಾವನೆ...


ಅವರ ತಾಳ್ಮೆ, ಎಂತಹ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲೂ ಅಸಹನೆಗೊಳ್ಳದ ಸ್ವಭಾವ ತನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಒಂದು ನೆಲೆಗಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಮುಟ್ಟಿಸಲು ಪಟ್ಟ ಶ್ರಮ ಎಲ್ಲದಕ್ಕೂ ನಾವು ಚಿರಋಣಿ...


ಅಣ್ಣ ನೀವೆಲ್ಲೂ ಹೋಗಿಲ್ಲ...ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲೆ ಇದ್ದೀರಾ...ನಮಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡುತ್ತ ಇರಿ...


ಹೋಗಿ ಬನ್ನಿ ಅಣ್ಣ...ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಪ್ಪ, ಅಮ್ಮ, ಚಿಕ್ಕಮ್ಮ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ  ನಿಮಗಾಗಿ ಕಾಯುತ್ತ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ...


ನಿಮ್ಮ ಶ್ರಮ ಸಾರ್ಥಕವಾಗುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಾರ್ಥಕ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ...ಅದೇ ನಿಮಗೆ ನಾವು ತೋರುವ ಶ್ರದ್ದಾಂಜಲಿ...

ನಾಗರತ್ನ ಅಜ್ಜಿಯ ಸುಂದರ ಬದುಕಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ನಮನ

 ನಮ್ಮ ಅಜ್ಜಿಯ ತಂಗಿಯಾದ ನಾಗರತ್ನ ಅಜ್ಜಿ ಸುಮಾರು ಎಂಬತ್ತೈದು ವಸಂತಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳೆದು ಇಂದು ಮುಂಜಾನೆ ಸುಮಾರು ೧೨.೩೦ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನ ಅಗಲಿ ಪರಲೋಕದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಬೆಳಸಿದರು.

ನಾನು ಸುಮಾರು ಐದು-ಆರು ವರುಷದ ಕೂಸಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅಗಲಿದ ಅಜ್ಜಿಯಾ ನಂತರ ಅವರ ಸೋದರಿಯಾದ ನಾಗರತ್ನ ಅಜ್ಜಿಯೇ ಆ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿದ್ದರು. ಯಾವಗೆಲ್ಲ ಅಜ್ಜಿಯ ನೆನಪಾದಾಗ ಮನಸು ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ ಕಡೆ ಹೊರಳುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. 

ನಮ್ಮ ಕೊರವಂಗಲ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಸದಾ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಇದ್ದ, ಆಶಿರ್ವದಿಸುತಿದ್ದ ಒಂದು ಹಿರಿಯ ಚೇತನ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನ ಅಗಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.  ಕಳೆದ ಒಂದು ವರುಷದ ಅವದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ಬಾರಿ ನೋಡಿ, ನಲಿದು ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಪಡೆದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನೆನದರೆ ಕಣ್ಣಾಲಿಗಳು ತುಂಬಿ ಬರುತ್ತೆ..

ನಾಗರತ್ನ ಅಜ್ಜಿಯು ಜೀವನದ ಸುಂದರ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ  ದಾಖಲಿಸಬೇಕಾದ್ದು ತುಂಬಾ ಇದೆ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು

• ತುಂಬು ಸಂಸಾರವನ್ನು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿನತ್ತ ನಡೆಸಿದರು
• ನಮ್ಮ ಅಪ್ಪನಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ಯಾವಾಗಲು ಸ್ಮರಣೀಯ
• ಬಸುರಿ, ಬಾಣಂತಿಯರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ ಮದ್ದು ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಹಾಗು ಸುತ್ತಲ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನ-ಜನಿತವಾಗಿ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಸಂತಸದ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳು. 
• ಸತತ ಮೂರು ಪೀಳಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲ ಮಗು ಗಂಡಾಗಿ..ಸುವರ್ಣ ಅಭಿಷೇಕ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು
• ತನ್ನ ಮೊಮ್ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮದುವೆಯ ಸಂಭ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನಲಿದ ಹಿರಿಯ ಚೇತನ

 ಅವರ ಜೀವನದ ರೂಪು ರೇಷೆಗಳು, ನಡೆದ ಮಾರ್ಗ, ನುಡಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಯಾವಾಗಲು ನಮಗೆ ದಾರಿ ದೀಪ..

ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಕಿಚ್ಚನ್ನು ಹಚ್ಚುವ "ಪ್ರಕಾಶ"ರ ಜೊತೆ ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಒಡತಿ "ಶಾರದೆ" - ಮೈತ್ರಿ

ಮನೆ ಬೇಕಾ ಅಥವಾ ಅನುಗ್ರಹವಿರುವ ಸದನ ಬೇಕಾ ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಯಾವಾಗಲು ನನ್ನ ಮನ ಸದನಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾತೊರೆಯುತ್ತದೆ..

ಮೈತ್ರಿ ಹೊರಗಿನಿಂದ!!!!

ನಾನು ಸುಮಾರು ಮನೆಗಳಿಗೆ, ಗೃಹಪ್ರವೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ..ಒಂದು ಮನೆ ತನ್ನ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸದಿಂದ, ಅಲಂಕಾರಗಳಿಂದ ಕಣ್ಣು ಸೆಳೆಯುತಿತ್ತು...ಆದ್ರೆ ನನ್ನ ಮನ ಸದಾ  ಮನಸನ್ನು ಸೂರೆಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಲೇ ಇತ್ತು...

ಅಂತಹ  ಒಂದು ಸುಂದರ ಸುವರ್ಣ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ಹಾಸನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಲಗಾಮೆ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಒಂದು "ಮೈತ್ರಿ" ಕೂಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತು..

ಈ "ಮೈತ್ರಿ"ಯಾ  ಆತ್ಮವಾಗಿರುವುದು ನನ್ನ ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪ ಆದ ಆನಂದದ ಹಾಗು ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಚಿಲುಮೆ ಹತ್ತಿಸುವ "ಪ್ರಕಾಶ"..ಅವರ ಮನದೊಡತಿ ನನ್ನ ಚಿಕ್ಕಮ್ಮ "ಶಾರದ"..

ಎಂತಹ ಒಂದು ಅದ್ಬುತ ಸುಯೋಗ ಹಾಗು ಸಂಯೋಗ...

ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಕಿಚ್ಚನ್ನು ಹಚ್ಚುವ "ಪ್ರಕಾಶ"ರ ಜೊತೆ ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಒಡತಿ "ಶಾರದೆ"

ಹೊರಗಿನಿಂದ ಮನೆ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸ ನೋಡಿದರೆ...ಎಲ್ಲವು ಖಾಲಿ ಖಾಲಿ ಯಾಕೆ ಇಷ್ಟೊಂದು ಸ್ಥಳ ವ್ಯರ್ಥ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರೆ ಅಂತ ಅನ್ನಿಸೋದು ಬಹು ಸಹಜ...ಒಳಗೆ ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಹೊಕ್ಕಂತೆ..ಮನೆ ಅಚಾನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ "ಗೃಹ"/"ಸದನ"ವಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಪಾಡಾಗುವುದು ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಸೋಜಿಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು...

ಮನುಜನಿಗೆ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಷ್ಟು ಜಾಗ ಬೇಕೂ ಅಷ್ಟೇ ತನ್ನ ಮನಸಿಗೂ ಜಾಗ ಬೇಕು ಅನ್ನಿಸುವ ಒಂದು ಸಣ್ಣ ಕೋಣೆ ನನಗೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಕಾಡಿತು...ಇಂತಹ ಒಂದು ಅದ್ಬುತ ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶ "ಅಮೃತವರ್ಷಿಣಿ"ಸಿನೆಮಾದಲ್ಲೂ ಮೂಡಿ ಬಂದಿದೆ...ಒಂದು ಕೋಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏನು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಖಾಲಿ ಕೋಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಮನಸಿನ ಭಾವನೆಗಳನ್ನು ವಿನಿಮಯ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ದೃಶ್ಯ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟುವಂತೆ ಚಿತ್ರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ದಿನೇಶ್ ಬಾಬು.

I was always one of the biggest fans of two cricketing giants who stepped and debuted at Lords..to become the lords of the cricket..

Who can forget, master minding with VVS Lakshaman to give their own pill to the marauding Australians..just executing the plan of Dada to perfection to decimate Waugh's Aussie team.

Who can forget rare victory on Australian soil because of RD's patience presence.

To accommodate a balance in the team as per DADA's plan, he kept wickets for many one dayers, especially 2003 world cup, where the team india beaten only in the hands of Aussies to finish as runners up.

He has the stamina, Patience, Perseverance, Skills, and a great attitude to play for the team and the county..

He just finished his final one day match with a calculated innings of 69 Runs.  He is the man for anything..but the false pundits who claim they have cricketing brain just made him cool his legs from last three years from not allowing to play in one dayers...

In his final hurrah he showed what anyone can do, if they have will power, and attitude to decimate any still challenges..let alone the WALL...

New Member to my family

We were in a dilemma from past few years...whether new member to be added to my family or is it OK to manage and nourish one...

On the hindsight, the necessity of new member is also discussed, debated, and virtually we couldn't come to any conclusion.

Life always teaches, easy decision difficult to take..and difficult decision easy to take..

Considering all the permutations and combinations, we decided to go for second one...and ya..we were happy with our decision made....

and the expected expectation turned to be true...and real...
